Air France is set to increase its seasonal service between Cape Town International Airport and Paris-Charles de Gaulle for the 2026/27 summer season, giving passengers more direct travel options between South Africa and France.
The service will operate from 22 September 2026 to 27 March 2027, with flights initially operating three times a week before increasing to five weekly services from November. All flights will be operated by an Airbus A350-900.
Three Weekly Flights to Start
From 22 September to 31 October 2026, Air France will operate three weekly flights between Cape Town and Paris on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Flights will depart Cape Town at 00:15 and arrive at Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 12:15 the same day. Passengers travelling on the overnight departure will need to arrive at Cape Town International Airport on the evening before their flight.
Service Increases from November
From 1 November 2026, the frequency will increase to five flights per week, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
During this period, flights will depart Cape Town at 08:30 and arrive in Paris at 19:20.
The increase gives passengers greater flexibility when planning trips between Cape Town and Paris, particularly during the peak summer travel period.
Strengthening International Connectivity
The additional flights will also provide greater access to Air France’s wider network through its Paris-Charles de Gaulle hub, with onward connections available to destinations across Europe and further afield.
The increase comes as Air France continues to strengthen its long-haul network and respond to demand for travel between South Africa and France.
For Cape Town International Airport, the increased frequency adds further capacity to the city’s international network and strengthens its direct connectivity with one of Europe’s major aviation hubs.
