Editorial Standards

Who we are

Aviation24news is an independent aviation news publication covering airlines, incidents, fleet developments, industry business and operations, airports and military aviation. Our editorial team is listed in full on our About Us page, where each writer’s background and area of coverage is set out.

How we report

We aim to publish only what we can support. For incident and accident coverage in particular, we look for confirmation from an official source — an operator, an airport, a regulator or an investigating authority — or from more than one independent source, before we publish.

Where facts are still emerging, we say so in the article rather than implying more certainty than we have. Developing stories are updated as new information is confirmed, and carry the time of their most recent update.

Corrections

We correct mistakes. If something we have published is wrong, write to [email protected] and tell us what is inaccurate and, if you can, what the correct position is.

Where a correction changes the substance of a story, we note it on the article itself rather than amending the text silently. Minor fixes — spelling, formatting, a broken link — are made without a note.

Bylines and authorship

Every article carries the name of the person who wrote it, the date and time of publication, and the time of any later update. Each byline links to that writer’s profile.

Images

Photography is credited where a credit has been supplied to us. If you believe an image has been used without proper permission or credit, contact us and we will address it.

Independence

Our editorial decisions are made by our own team. Any material that is sponsored, supplied or produced in partnership with a third party will be labelled as such where it appears.
